Saberfront Introduces New Service To Alderaanian Assault

A few days ago there have been countless updates, from character creation to ToolStoreService updates. However,
almost all of these updates use the newest API yet: SaberfrontDB

What is it?

SaberfrontDB is a service that powers the Force power, the starter pack timer, and ToolStoreService. ToolStoreService was initially using ROBLOX’s data stores. However, the data stores proved ineffective, and they were abandoned as a result.Force powers were initially part of the main save in the data store. However, that had to be changed to accommodate the Force levels feature that allows players like you to customize the Force in their character. The starter pack timer was also part of a data store. However, the same thing happened to it, prompting the creator to move that system to SaberfrontDB.This also powers the suggestions form.

Mob Starfighters Will Change How Experience Is Gained

The Mob Starfighters are currently under development. These mobs will feature a ship you can destroy, and a mob that sits and can be used to control the weapons system. The weapons system consists of three weapons :

Blaster bolts - Blaster bolts are the neon red lasers that have damage values to them.

rockets

missiles

The Mob Starfighters will also feature a way to gain experience points for destroying the Mob that is positioned painstakingly inside the Starfighter with a script.

New Loot System Under Development

The original loot system has many flaws. However, by September 10th, a new face is about to emerge in the features list. Meet the Saberfront Rarity System! The rarity system is going to have 4 classes:

Legendary

The rarest items around

usually in the form of apowerful blaster or just about any lightsaber type

chance must be 0.25 or below to get this and the other three weapons

Rare

Not the rarest thing you’ll find, but it is rarer than most items

usually a rare find such as junk items, medkits, and detonator packages.

Uncommon

Rarer than the common item, it is not rare to find this item, but it is unusual to obtain one

Usually basic weapons such as the E-5 fall into this category

Common

The chest system will do the same actions as the loot system, but without killing mobs.

The Loot System and Chest system are already implemented in the game as of right now. Here’s the latest on the Item acquisition system:

Basic loot system: DONE

Chest system:DONE

Pawn Value System: YET TO BE FINISHED

Welcome to Jekyll!

You’ll find this post in your
_posts
directory. Go ahead and edit it and re-build the site to see your changes. You can rebuild the site in many different ways, but the most common way is to run
jekyll serve
, which launches a web server and auto-regenerates your site when a file is updated.

To add new posts, simply add a file in the
_posts
directory that follows the convention
YYYY-MM-DD-name-of-post.ext
and includes the necessary front matter. Take a look at the source for this post to get an idea about how it works.

Jekyll also offers powerful support for code snippets:

def print_hi(name)
 puts "Hi, #{name}"
end
print_hi('Tom')
#=> prints 'Hi, Tom' to STDOUT.

Check out the Jekyll docs for more info on how to get the most out of Jekyll. File all bugs/feature requests at Jekyll’s GitHub repo. If you have questions, you can ask them on Jekyll Talk.
